Hurry up and wait...event postponed...
If I didn't enjoy Nature, I wouldn't be here. But Nature's finest monkey wrench, the weather, has reminded me that I'm not always the boss! Recent rains and impending severe weather have prompted us to cancel the Trail Rides and Chuck Wagon Feed scheduled for this weekend at Martin's Access. Keep in touch here or by phone, as we will reschedule this event later in the summer.

In the meantime, enjoy your three day weekend and please come visit Martin's Access as soon as the ground dries out! We have marked and cleared more miles of trail (I haven't even had time to measure the distance, but it's about 2 miles I'd guess) into the NEW addition at Martin's. This timber is amazing, full of scenery reserved for those of us who have to get out of our houses and cars to explore. Boulder-strewn streams, carpets of wildflowers, towering oaks and basswood trees, turkeys, deer, songbirds... You're gonna love it.

Development of a new, equestrian and RV friendly campground will begin as funds are raised. Expect a groundbreaking celebration in the coming weeks as we honor those who have helped us acquire this new public land.

We are also planning updates to campsite shelters and grills in the existing Martin's Access camping areas, and several picnic shelters have been opened to camping around the park's pine groves.

Contact us anytime with questions or comments about the parks! We welcome your input.

Ok, that's the official info above. Here's the scoop: the Cherokee Arena Committee has graciously pulled together plans for this neat new event at Martin's. All the profits will go toward the park, and we will earmark these funds for horse related amenities. We are expanding this property with 80 additional, beautiful acres. This very afternoon my team and I will blaze new trails into the new property, so if you've ridden Martin's before, prepare to explore new ground. All our trails are dirt trails with minimal development. We leave structure, like rocks and logs, in the trail to minimize erosion. Stay on the trails, let us know how they feel, bring us your ideas and your talents and LETS MAKE THIS A SAFE AND FUN PLACE TO RIDE! I'll be there to scoop chili onto your dog and to sing along with the acoustic musicians, plus I wouldn't miss the potluck which boasts legendary pancakes and plenty of food for all. We will be flexible with camping arrangements for this event, so pick your spot and park your trailer for the night. See you there!!!
