Adult Skills Series: Beekeeping
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
ADULT SKILLS SERIES: BEEKEEPING
This program is the fourth as part of the Adult Skills Series, which kicked off last September. Our adult skills series focuses on exposing participants to new experiences and skills. Most programs will include snacks, a sample, or a take home item. Use your new skills towards improving your health and sustainability!
For our fourth program in the series on Sunday, January 13th at 2:00pm in the CCCB Office (629 River Rd, Cherokee), the CCCB Naturalist, Laura Jones, will be talking about beekeeping.
During this hour presentation we’ll take a look at necessary beekeeping equipment, bee biology, and the first steps into becoming a beekeeper. Laura will share with you startup costs and tips & tricks gleaned from taking care of two hives for the CCCB. You will also have an opportunity to try local honey. The event is free.
Future adult skills series topics will include essential oil make and take, beginner homebrewing, pressure cooking, and more!
