Adult Skills Series: Essential Oils
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE ADULT SKILLS SERIES: ESSENTIAL OILS This program is the fifth as part of the Adult Skills Series, which kicked off in September. Our adult skills series focuses on exposing participants to new experiences and skills. Most programs will include snacks, a sample, or a take home item. Use your new skills towards improving your health and sustainability! For our fifth program in the series on Thursday, February 14th at 5:30 pm in the CCCB Office (629 River Rd, Cherokee), the CCCB Naturalist, Laura Jones, will be talking about essential oils. Show a little love for yourself (and your family & friends, if you choose) by learning about the potential benefits of essential oils. During this hour presentation we’ll talk about what essential oils are, why you shouldn’t buy them in a department store, and we’ll smell 10 of the most popular ones. Should you want to try essential oils, we’re bringing roller bottles so you can take home one or a combination of the 10 most popular essential oils. There is a small fee per take home sample. The goal of the program is to provide information on what essential oils are, not to encourage you to buy a specific brand. We’re hoping you leave with enough information that you can make your own decision on whether this is something you might want to continue researching. Future adult skills series topics will include beginner homebrewing, pressure cooking, and more!
