April 12, 2022
CCCB Board Member Vacancy
The Cherokee County Conservation Board (CCCB) has an immediate vacancy on its board. The CCCB is overseen by a five-member volunteer board that has the ability to set rules & regulations, enter into contracts, employ a Director, set goals, and oversee expenditures.
Meetings, which are open to the public, are held the second Monday of the month at 5:00pm in the CCCB office located at 629 River Rd in Cherokee.
Board members are appointed by the Cherokee County Board of Supervisors for five year terms; however, due to a recent vacancy, a newly appointed candidate would be filling a term that will expire at the end of 2023. All board members have the potential to be reappointed at the end of their term.
A qualified candidate must live in Cherokee County and have a demonstrated interest in conservation matters. An application is available at the CCCB or can be downloaded below. Return applications to CCCB, 629 River Rd, Cherokee, IA 51012 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
