FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Water and Electricity were turned on April 28th at Martins Access and Silver Sioux Recreation Area. Our camping season is officially open!
Silver Sioux campsites 1-12 and 23-26 will be open all summer. Sites 13-20 will remain closed until grass grows in and becomes established since construction was finished this winter.
Select campsites at Martins Access are available for reservation. If you arrive at a reservable site at Martins Access but do not have a reservation, please scan the QR code on the post to check availability. If it's not reserved on the day you arrive or the following days you plan on staying, then the site becomes first-come, first-serve and you need to register at the kiosk. If you plan to stay more than 3 days, we recommend making an online reservation. Call our office with any questions: 712-225-6709.
Martins Access cabins & shelter, Silver Sioux lodge & barn, and Uncle Tom's cabin will all be available to reserve online as well as select campsites at Martins Access. The website hosting the online reservations is mycountyparks.com. Reservations can be made online 24/7 and 365 days of the year. You will be able to reserve a facility up to one year in advance.
