SNOWSHOEING AT THE MHI

Join the Cherokee County Conservation Board (CCCB) at the Mental Health Institute (MHI) for group snowshoeing!

Take this opportunity to enjoy the snowy outdoors! The CCCB has equipment that you can borrow during this program, free of charge. Be sure to dress comfortable and in layers.

Meet Naturalist Laura Jones at 10:00am on Saturday, March 4th in the MHI trailhead parking lot on Iowa St. We'll snowshoe a portion of this 3 mile loop.

If you or someone in your party needs to borrow equipment (free of charge), let Laura know before noon on March 2nd. Equipment is limited. The program will be cancelled due to lack of snow or if hazardous weather is issued. A minimum of four inches of snow is needed to snowshoes.

The Mental Health Institute trailhead parking lot is located on Iowa St, accessed from north 11th St. For more information or to borrow equipment, contact Laura at the Cherokee County Conservation Board by calling 712-225-6709 or e-mailing This email address is being protected from spambots.
