BUILD A BEE CONDO

Did you know that not all bees live in a hive? Join us at the Cherokee County Conservation Board on Sunday, April 30th at 2:00pm to build a bee condo.

Some of the bees that you notice in your backyard make their home in soil, while others choose hollow branches. Solitary bees belong to a very important group of animals called pollinators. Without pollinators, we wouldn’t have watermelon, chocolate (what?!?!), strawberries, coconuts, and more.  For various reasons, pollinators are in decline. One way that we can help them out is by providing them with an awesome place to live.

Invite pollinators to your backyard and garden by building a bee condo! Join us at 2:00pm on Sunday, April 30th at the Cherokee County Conservation Board office, located at 629 River Rd. Registration is required by 4:30pm on April 27th to reserve materials.
