Camping opportunities exist from the very north part of Cherokee County to the very south part. Cherokee County Conservation manages and maintains campgrounds in 5 different parks encompassing over 550 acres of outdoor enjoyment.

  • Camping is first-come, first-serve; no reservations are accepted.
  • Self registration is required within 30 minutes of choosing a site.
  • Sites must contain a camping unit to be occupied (tent, camper, motor home)
  • Camping season is from May 1- Oct. 31
  • Firewood is available on weekends for a fee


Camping amenities range from primitive campsites to 50 amp electrical service with water and sewer depending on what Park you are camping in. Restroom and shower facilities range from vault restrooms to modern restrooms with showers in some locations.
