The Lodge is a smaller building that is entirely enclosed, with a central wood burning stove. This building is available for overnight and day-use rentals. Renters should bring their own bedding for the 8 comfortable double-size bunks that are available, sleeping 16 people. The building includes several picnic tables, overhead heaters, a full kitchen and indoor restroom with shower and a serving bench.

Amenities

The Silver Sioux Lodge, built in 1975, was originally a rustic warming shelter for winter visitors to the tubing hill. Operation of the tubing hill rope lift was ceased in the late 1990s due to maintenance and safety concerns.

In 2007, the CCCB added a modern kitchen complete with a range, oven, refrigerator, microwave and many convenient kitchen furnishings and utensils. The kitchen includes an air conditioner/heater for year-round comfort. Another addition is an indoor restroom complete with a handicap-accessible shower and a heater for comfort in the cooler seasons.

2008 brought the completion of the renovations, with replacement of windows and doors, insulation and refinishing of the building's interior, as well as the addition of 8 double-size bunk beds. These finishing touches make the Lodge comfortable for overnight and multiple-night use by large or small groups. An outdoor patio with a fire ring, new 3'x3' charcoal grill and permanent landscaping provide the perfect setting for a comfortable "camp-out."

The focal point of the Lodge interior is a wood burning stove atop a base of stone and brick, located in the center of the East end of the building. The interior walls have been recently remodeled with knotty pine and are fully insulated. Picnic tables and benches provide seating for up to 30 visitors. Typical reasons for day rentals include family picnics, graduation parties, holiday celebrations, church potlucks and group retreats.

Renters must provide their own bedding and towels.
