NATURALIST’S LUNCHBOX AT GILLETTE PARK
If you’re stuck in a rut during your workday lunch, then here’s a great opportunity to do something different. Cherokee County Conservation Board’s naturalist, Laura Jones, is inviting you to spend your lunch break with her at Gillette Park.
The Naturalist’s Lunchbox is an outdoor program that runs from Noon-1:00pm with hands-on activities beginning around 12:20pm. It’s a time to enjoy the outdoors, eat your lunch, and be part of a fun activity that the whole family will enjoy. Each program will take 30-45 minutes and be on a different topic. Come at noon to enjoy your lunch, then take part in the activities!
The program is free of charge and will contain fun activities geared towards families with children ages 13 and under, but everyone is welcome! Activities will take place at or near the big shelter in Gillette Park, next to the Bacon Aquatic Center, so when you’re done with lunch and our fun activities, you can head to the pool or play in the playground!
Bring your lunch, blanket if you want to sit in the grass, and be prepared for any type of weather. Please leave the family pet at home. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Get outside and see what’s in the Naturalist’s Lunchbox!
For more information, contact Laura at the Cherokee County Conservation Board by calling 712-225-6709 or e-mailing email@example.com.
