Pearse Access & Harold Clark Area

The boat ramp at Pearse is usually the first open after spring flooding.

Paddlers entering the Little Sioux at Pearse can float 3.1 mi. downstream to the Quimby bridge.

Pearse Access provides access to the Little Sioux River northeast of Quimby on the west bank. A rocked boat ramp permits access by paddlers and boat trailers. Fishing is excellent for walleye and catfish. This area is on the regional Inkpaduta Canoe Trail. Hunting is permitted from October 1 through April 30 in this 14 acre parcel, which adjoins with the 32.5 acre Harold-Clark Area. All state hunting regulations apply. No camping is allowed. These two county parks consist mainly of flood plain timber, dominated by silver maples, cottonwoods, and riverbank reed canary grass stands.
