2025 Annual Shooting Range Permit

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

January 2, 2025

2025 Annual Shooting Range Permits Now Available

Ring in the new year with a new annual pass to the Licklider Shooting Complex! If you have a 2024 annual pass, it has now expired and 2025 passes are available for purchase. The $40 annual pass covers two adults and any minors living in the same household. If you’re not a frequent user, a daily pass is required for those using the facility. The cost for a daily pass is $5/day/shooter. An annual pass can be purchased by clicking here or at the CCCB office located at 629 River Rd, Cherokee, IA.

Located at 5949 Little Sioux Road and managed by the Cherokee County Conservation Board (CCCB), the Licklider Shooting Complex consists of 25, 50, and 100 yard shooting ranges. Users are required to sign-in and out when using the complex as well as pay to use the facility.

Recently, four trap fields and houses were completed. The goal is to have them up and running by fall of 2025. An archery range is also planned for installation in the summer of 2025. An annual or daily pass is required to use the property and covers users in any of the shooting areas on the property. Once open to public use, additional fees will be required for those that trap shoot. Those additional fees will cover the cost of clay pigeons.

The Licklider Shooting Complex is tentatively closed for the months of January and February, opening March 1 weather dependent. Rules for the complex and the current shooting range are available on the CCCB website, www.cherokeecountyparks.com.
