Chad Elliott Paints the Park

The Cherokee County Conservation Board (CCCB) is hosting accomplished painter and musician Chad Elliott with his Paint the Park series! Elliott will visit Silver Sioux Recreation Area on Friday, September 13, where he will wander and set up to create a painting of our beautiful landscape. The public is encouraged to watch Elliott’s art process while he is painting! Stop by to watch as he creates a painting inspired by our landscape and stay afterwards for a concert beginning at 7:00pm in the Silver Sioux Barn!

Midwest singer-songwriter Chad Elliott blends folk roots, swampy blues, and soulful writing to deliver unmistakably original music. His live performances have been honed over 25 years on the road performing more than 200 shows annually. Elliott is lauded as “Iowa’s Renaissance man” by Culture Buzz Magazine. You can reserve a campsite on mycountyparks.com or show up the night of for a first-come, first serve site. Some campsites at Silver Sioux have a discounted rate since they are without electrical due to the June flood.
